Guðmundur Ingólfsson studied photographing with Otto Steinert at the Folkwang Schule for Gestaltung in Essen Ruhr in Germany. In addition to gaining a strong professional foundation, which he has subsequently shared with other photographers, Guðmundur developed a visual view based on the new objectivity. In addition to working as a photographer for living, he has taken photos on big films, of Iceland’s surroundings and Reykjavík in all of his pictures. A preview of that work is in this book.
Besides the pictures from Guðmunudur the book contains articles and stories surrounding his photo sessions by Einar Falur Ingólfsson, Jacob Lillemose, Liv Gudmundsson and Timm Rautert.
