Saumur I - Dishcloth with floral embroidery
Here, embroidered pattern of a skirt, that is preserved in National Museum's collection. Has been reproduced on a teatowel.
Saumur I. Is a floral design embroidered in satin stitch on a costume skirt made and worn by Margrét Egilsdóttir (1857-1913), wife of the sheriff at Vatneyri in Vesturbyggð, West Barðastrandarsýsla in the West Fjords.
Beautiful design on a black cotton fabric, the design is machine-sewn into the fabric using quality string. Size 40x75 cm.
