A guide book: The National Museum of Iceland permanent exhibition. What makes a nation? The National Museum of Iceland displays the Icelanders’ cultural and artistic heritage in its historical context with its permanent exhibition Making of a Nation – Heritage and History in Iceland.
The exhibition seeks to provide insight into the 1200-year journey of the Icelanders – from the arrival of the first settlers in the 9th century to the modern nation of today. Using a variety of media and technologies, Making of a Nation brings to life the Icelanders’ colourful history. The book is now only available in Icelandic and German.
