For Icelandic amateur photographer Gunnar Pétursson (1928-2012), photography was a life-long passion. The characteristic feature of Gunnar’s photography was his subjective view of his surroundings, whether photographing the city and its people or nature. Gunnar pursued abstract and experimental photography to the utmost, and his photographs in which he plays with light and movement were avant-garde in Iceland in his time. This book showcases a selection of Gunnar Pétursson’s photographs, along with an essay in Icelandic by Steinar Örn Erluson.
The book includes an English summary.
