Embroidery set that contains interesting patterns based on the visual books of previous centuries. This pattern is called Skaftafellsrós.
The pattern is of a multiple / triple eight-leaf rose, a variety that is not known outside of Iceland and is extremely fun to sew and count out.
Based on a pattern from the vision book of Jón Einarsson, a farmer and craftsman in Skaftafell in the 18th century. The book contains many patterns intended for needlework and is considered a great treasure. It is preserved in the National Museum of Iceland.
The package includes: Patterns and instructions. 100% cotton canvas, 23x23 cm, 100% Icelandic wool and needle.
