This provides an occasion to look back on his work and his position the world of Icelandic visual art. Spessi created a new vision of Icelandic society in his photographs.\nInga L\u00e1ra Baldvinsd\u00f3ttir, from the preface to the book.<\/p>\n<p class=\"translation-block\">This comprehensive photo book sheds light on the career of Spessi, Sigur\u00fe\u00f3r Hallbj\u00f6rnsson. Here some of his well-known works such as in Bens\u00edn (Petrol), Heroes and 111 appear in conjunction with unpublished or rarer photographs.\nWith a unique style in human photography and a choice of topics that often involve sharp social critique, Spessi has created a unique position in the field of artistic photographs in Iceland.
