B\u00e1r\u00f0arson (1918-2009) covered nearly eighty years from adolescence to his death.<\/p>\n<p>Hj\u00e1lmar went through several segments of life as a photographer. He lived through three eras of photographic technique, black and white photographs, colour photographs and digital photos.<\/p>\n<p>His collection consists of approximately 70 thousand black and white photographs from the period 1932 until 1988. The exhibition: Hj\u00e1lmar R. B\u00e1r\u00f0arson in black and white and the catalogue of the same title presents samples of these photographs.
