Sjónabók is a manuscript of patterns that were used in all kinds of handcraft in the old days. 

The Icelandic Sjónabók manuscripts- a collection and traditional patterns for textiles. In the book you can find patterns that are from the 17th,18th and 19th century, the text in the book is both in Icelandic and English.
